The Hoftoren is with it's height of 142 m. one of the highest buildings of The Hague, completed in 2003, with a total of 27.000 m2 curtain walling. The building consists of two parts, a lower part of 53 m. high, which forms the structural base of a slim tower. The slenderness of the tower is emphasized by the use of vertical lines of limestones and high windows. The sharp, roofless top of the tower has a partly open covering of aluminium sheet work.
