One of the key principles for the design is the design and location of the building in relation to the location on the outskirts of the historic center. With a pond in front of the building, a large canopy and a faceted back leaning double skin facade. In addition, the location is directly next to a busy railway which results in high demands for the facade. The building houses several public functions which will provide for a lively atmosphere, such as library, museum pub, auditorium, art library and exhibition space.
