Stadionkwartier - EindhovenArchitect Wiel Arets Architects Developer HEJA Projectontwikkeling Contractor Stadionkwartier BVUnder ConstructionStadionkwartier Eindhoven is a development consisting of several buildings next to the PSV stadium in Eindhoven. Schedebouw is providing the cladding for these two buildings, Block A, a 74m high building, and Block P, a 45m high building. Block J is partially provided with cladding by Schedebouw. The architect of the building we are making is Wiel Arets Architects, whose offices are located in Maastricht and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as well as Zürich, Switzerland.
These three buildings are built using a 'standard' unitized facade. The color of the profiles and external sheet work are naturally anodized. As a special feature for these buildings, there is a ring of sheet work draped on the facade. The position of this sheet work is at the same level as the concrete floor and support beams. The sheet work has the following dimensions:
Width: Same as element, mostly 1800mm.
Height: 600mm.
Depth: 250/450mm.
A change of depth occurs in each sheet and gives it a futuristic look. To mount the sheets to the elements we use the endplates of the sheet work, and an easy to mount construction method.
Block A has balconies placed at each of the 109 sliding doors (1,9m). The balconies are fitted with the same aluminum sheet work as the elements, in order to let the ring of sheet work run through it. Block P is fitted with even wider (2,4m) sliding doors, in order to provide each apartment with a patio.
